Lanao del Norte | Limunsodan Falls

Limunsodan Falls

This is the upper half of the two-tiered Limunsodan Falls in Barangay Rogongon in Iligan City. We passed by Cagayan de Oro, then Talakag in Bukidnon to get here. There's rumor circulating in the Internet that Limunsodan is the country's, or even Asia's, highest waterfalls at over 800 feet. I say, the rumor is wrong. I was there, I saw it, and I can say that total height of the two tiers couldn't be more than 80 feet. That's much less than Maria Cristina's 320 feet. But Limunsodan is beautiful as it is, just a difficult trek if you're not a mountaineer.
